1.1 The Chair welcomed Members, apologies were received from John Griffiths and Mark Reckless.
2.1 The Committee heard evidence from the All Wales Heads of Children’s Services, the WLGA and the National Adoption Service.
3.1 The Committee heard evidence from CWVYS and the Principal Youth Officers’ Group.
5.1 The Committee considered the draft report and agreed to consider an amended version would be considered at a future meeting.
6.1 The Committee heard evidence from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
6.2 They agreed to provide the Committee with an RCPCH report on the Community Paediatric Workforce including statistics specific to Wales.
7.1 The Committee heard evidence from the Royal College of Nursing.
7.2 They agreed to provide a note on the following:
· The College’s view on the provision of school counselling services to younger school-aged children;
· Two guidance documents on the transition process to adult services;
· The College’s view on the development of hybrid roles such as the psychiatric nurse-social worker.
8.1 The papers were noted.
9.1 The motion was agreed.
10.1 The Committee considered the evidence heard during the meeting.
